By volunteering with United Way of Lancaster County, you have the unique opportunity to unite, make a significant impact, and connect with the incredible individuals who help our community thrive. Come experience the power of collective action and be part of something truly special!

History of Week of Caring

For over 30 years, United Way of Lancaster County has united hundreds of volunteers for impactful service projects during our Day of Caring. After the pandemic, we observed a significant rise in the need for service and recognized that a full Week of Caring would provide greater support to our community. We’re excited to expand our opportunities, inviting individuals, families, and teams from local businesses and organizations to join us in making a meaningful difference.

Mark your calendars for the return of this transformative week: September 7-13, 2025!

"We were isolated during the Covid-19 Pandemic - disconnected from everything outside of our four walls. Now, as we start to rebuild relationships and patch the foundations of our community, our strength has been renewed. Community initiatives are experiencing a renaissance where their mission and vision are either being reinstated or reimagined altogether."
