United Way and Rotary Club of Lancaster’s Summer Youth Experience Grant is a competitive grant for Lancaster-based non-profits with summer programming that serves K-12 students from the School District of Lancaster and is within the City of Lancaster.

Grant recipients demonstrate the capacity to deliver well-designed and highly effective programs structured around improvement in academic, interpersonal, leadership and/or civic engagement skills.

For the summer of 2026, three to four organizations will receive grants between $15,000 – $30,000 for a total of $65,000 in grant funds distributed.

Grant funds will be used for direct services that occur during the summer program period and are necessary to operate programming for participants. Admin & operating costs may not exceed 10% of the grant award.

Opportunities to support the fundraising for this program may be requested, such as participation in fundraising events (e.g., Rotary’s Wheels & Wings Festival on Saturday, May 16), video, and photography.
