Community Donation – Fresh Clean Threads

United Way of Lancaster County has received an unprecedented donation from Fresh Clean Threads, facilitated by AMS Fulfillment. This generous contribution, consisting of 17,000 pounds of high-quality clothing, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, and pants, is the largest in our organization’s history.

Recognizing the exceptional nature of this donation, we aim to distribute it widely across Lancaster County. Nonprofit organizations, school districts, and any other partners providing direct services to our neighbors will benefit from this significant donation.

Direct service organizations interested in receiving clothing must schedule a pickup time in advance with United Way staff. Please email Julie Kennedy, Associate Director of Community Initiatives at kennedy@uwlanc.org for more information.

We want to address complex community issues by investing in the basic building blocks that every person – and every community – need to thrive:

Education, Economic Mobility, Health and Well-being, and Basic/Emerging needs.

We aim to serve individuals who are historically or currently marginalized, and may be suffering from systemic inequities that impede their ability to reach and maintain financial independence through family-sustaining employment.

We seek to accelerate proven and innovative solutions via focused Level Up & Launch grants. These grants are made possible by the donations of thousands of community investors each year, and United Way is committed to serving as a strategic steward of these dollars. And we contribute further to the work – grantees will receive support through the connections and opportunities we bring, including volunteers and other resources to aid in their success.

Highlighting reports/gaps

We provide a snapshot of our community through the various ways that we collect data as an organization. We conduct assessments, publish data reporting, and provide data collection tools so that you can have a pulse on what our community is currently doing and what is still needed.

"211 is more than just a link to community services. We are a vital lifeline to our neighbors. The empathy, care, compassion and above all else, respect 211 displays to those experiencing life’s challenges is the epitome of being neighborly. We exist to lift our neighbors up by educating and empowering them to real solutions to help them thrive in their personal lives and communities--this is the power of 211."
