Our online Volunteer Center connects passionate people (like you!) with impactful opportunities throughout the community. There are countless ways to get involved and make a difference close to home. 

Our newly updated platform is simple, user-friendly, and packed with diverse volunteer options—like food prep and cleanup, office tasks, community events, and companion visits with seniors—from so many local organizations!

Let’s Get Started! 

The first thing you’ll want to do to start volunteering is visit our online Volunteer Center. Directions on creating or signing into your account are outline below: 

  1. Visit the United Way of Lancaster County online Volunteer Center. 
  1. Click “Sign Up” to create your profile (or log in if you already have one). 
  1. Start browsing opportunities and find your perfect match! 

Once logged in, you’ll see listings from trusted nonprofit partners across the county. There are always a variety of organizations you can volunteer for with so many options to fit your lifestyle.  

We categorize volunteering into two categories, regular volunteering and episodic volunteering. Regular Volunteering would mean you are committing to a weekly or monthly shift and become a consistent source of support. Episodic Volunteering refers to short-term opportunities like one-time events or seasonal projects. There is no right or wrong way to volunteer, so go with whatever fits your schedule best!
