100 Years of United Way of Lancaster County

Celebrating 100 Years of Impact

For 100 years, United Way of Lancaster County has been at the heart of our community, uniting individuals, businesses, and organizations to create lasting change. As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we reflect on the lives we’ve touched and the progress we’ve made, all while looking forward to an even brighter future.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to improve the lives of individuals and families in Lancaster County by focusing on education, health, and economic mobility. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive and through our programs and partnerships, we work every day to make that vision a reality.

  • Education is the foundation of a better future. We help children and youth succeed by supporting programs that improve access to quality education, ensure academic achievement, and promote lifelong learning.
  • Economic Mobility is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Our programs help individuals and families secure stable employment, affordable housing, and financial independence, building a path toward lasting prosperity.
  • Health is essential to a strong, vibrant community. We invest in initiatives that provide access to healthcare, promote mental wellness, and address the health disparities that affect too many of our neighbors.

Over the last 100 years, we’ve made significant strides, but there’s still work to be done. We invite you to join us as we continue our mission of strengthening Lancaster County. Together, we can create a future where every person has the opportunity to thrive.
