United Way of Lancaster County announced a comprehensive rebrand as part of the global brand refresh led by United Way Worldwide, marking a new chapter as the organization enters its 101st year of serving the community. The refreshed brand is accompanied by a new strategic plan, updated impact strategy, and new office space that together reflect a renewed commitment to advancing education, financial stability, and health across Lancaster County.
Rooted in more than a century of local leadership and collaboration, the rebrand aligns United Way of Lancaster County with the global United Way network while reflecting the evolving needs and priorities of Lancaster County. The refreshed identity honors the organization's legacy of bringing people and resources together to create lasting change while positioning it for the future.
“As we celebrate more than 100 years of service, this moment is about clarity, alignment, and momentum,” said Kate Zimmerman, President & CEO of United Way of Lancaster County. “Our new brand and strategic direction better reflect who we are today, an organization focused on addressing the root causes of community challenges, strengthening opportunities for our neighbors, and building pathways so all can thrive. We know we cannot do this work alone, and real change only happens when we bring nonprofits, partners, and the broader community together in a shared commitment to action.”
The organization's updated strategic plan sharpens its focus on advancing education, financial stability, and health while prioritizing support for ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households. In Lancaster County, more than one in three households struggle to afford basic necessities despite many working full-time. Through partnerships with local nonprofits, businesses, volunteers, donors, and community leaders, United Way will continue to mobilize resources and drive solutions that create lasting, measurable impact.
The rebrand also introduces a modernized visual identity and messaging framework designed to better communicate the organization's mission and community impact. As part of the United Way Worldwide brand refresh, the new identity reflects a unified global movement while maintaining the strong local relationships and community leadership that have defined United Way of Lancaster County for more than a century.
"This is more than a new logo or visual identity—it is a recommitment to our mission and to the people of Lancaster County," said Maddie Seiler, Vice President of Marketing & Communications. "Our refreshed brand, strategic plan, and impact strategy ensure we are not only responding to today's challenges but also creating sustainable solutions that help our community thrive for generations to come."
In addition to the rebrand, United Way of Lancaster County has unveiled a newly designed office space created to foster collaboration, innovation, and deeper community engagement. The space reflects the organization's commitment to connection, accessibility, and partnership while providing a welcoming place for volunteers, partners, and community members.
As United Way of Lancaster County begins its second century of service, the organization remains committed to uniting people, resources, and ideas to create opportunities for everyone in Lancaster County to thrive.
