United Way of Lancaster County Awards $12,000 in Kellogg’s Summer Hunger Grants
United Way of Lancaster County has awarded $12,000 in Kellogg’s Summer Hunger funding to support local organizations addressing food insecurity for children and families during the summer months.
The funding, provided through Kellogg’s, supports community-based programs working to ensure families across Lancaster County have reliable access to nutritious food while school is out of session — a time when many children lose access to regular school meals.
“Summer can place additional strain on families already working hard to make ends meet,” said Julie Kennedy, Director of Advocacy & Engagement at United Way. “These grants help trusted community organizations provide consistent access to food and support so children can stay healthy, nourished, and ready to thrive throughout the summer.”
Grant funding was awarded to the following organizations:
- CrossNet
- The Factory Ministries
- Loft Community Partnership
These investments are part of United Way of Lancaster County’s ongoing commitment to supporting ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families and strengthening access to essential resources across the community.
