United Way of Lancaster County is pleased to announce three-year funding opportunities starting July 1, 2018. Grants up to $300,000 will be awarded to partnerships of Lancaster County stakeholders committed to achieving at least one of United Way’s Bold Goals, which are:
• 100% of children will enter kindergarten ready to learn
• 100% of students and adults will have post-secondary credentials
• Decrease individuals and families living in poverty by 50%
• 100% of individuals, children, and families will have a medical home
Letters of Intent (LOI) to be considered for funding should be a brief one to two page, informational letter summarizing your proposal and funding request. LOI’s, in .pdf format, should be submitted to United Way of Lancaster County by email at firstname.lastname@example.org by 5 pm on Sunday, October 15.
To be eligible for funding, partnerships will have a designated lead partner; agree to use Caseworthy software to track client data and outcomes, if appropriate to your target population; agree to use the self-sufficiency matrix tool to track client progress, if appropriate to your target population; and United Way of Lancaster County as backbone support.
Prospective Collective Impact Partnerships will be structured and evaluated around the five conditions of Collective Impact: common agenda, shared measurement, mutually reinforced activities, continuous communication, and backbone support.
United Way of Lancaster County’s Collective Impact Committee will review all submitted LOI’s to determine which top scoring Partnerships will be invited to formally apply for the 2018-21 RFP, which will be distributed in November, 2017. 2018-21 funding requests will be evaluated on strength of the application and strategy.
United Way of Lancaster County’s Collective Impact work has been recognized by the Tamarack Institute, an international leader in Collective Impact and community change, as “pioneers in Collective Impact”.
