IF YOU’RE IN NEED:

Individuals: If you’re one of many Lancastrians without significant rainy-day savings, unexpected unemployment may have you feeling panicked. We’re here to help. The United Way is working through our partners across the county to provide funds for residents’ emergency needs. Please connect with our 2-1-1 information and referral line any time (dial 211, text your zip code to 898211 or go to www.pa211east.org) to learn about organizations near you that may be able to provide food, shelter, and other important resources during this time.

Community Benefit Organizations: The United Way of Lancaster County is accepting inquiries by any county community benefit organization for emergent direct needs not related to food or shelter. To request funding, contact Quentin Moore

To request volunteers or submit projects, contact Audrey Lilley

IF YOU WANT TO HELP:

Individuals: The United Way of Lancaster County and Lancaster County Community Foundation are joining forces to help Lancastrians directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Seeded with $250,000, all new funds raised will directly support food, shelter, and emergent needs experienced by our County’s families during this crisis. This new donation site will be available shortly.

In addition to funds, there is a need for healthy adults to prepare and deliver food and transport individuals. Please note, if you want to spend time on-site at an agency or working in the community, you must have no symptoms of illness or a compromised immune system that could put your health at risk. Contact: Audrey Lilley

Businesses: We welcome financial and in-kind donations of any size to support the expanded role of United Way of Lancaster County and the need for increased resources during this crisis. As a trusted name in our community for almost 100 years, we are a key convener and information disseminator for our non-profit partners and community members. Contact: Barbara Zercher

Faith Communities: If you have a dedicated location and are interesting in becoming involved, contact Kevin Ressler
