Nelson and Jean Polite Days of Action
United Way of Lancaster County's Day of Action serves as an opportunity to remember and celebrate the lives of Nelson and Jean Polite - two individuals that made such a lasting impact on our community.
To honor their memory, the Nelson and Jean Polite Days of Action is organized in partnership with the Polite family and the Polite Family Community Assocation. This year's Day of Action will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017. It will be a day devoted to community service, focusing on the southeastern end of Lancaster City. This is an opportunity to engage the community and bring people together!
The Lancaster Community is also invited to attend the Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 3 from 1p.m. to 5p.m. The event is FREE! Come out to help us celebrate a weekend of action in honor of the Polites. There will be food, fundraisers and fun for all! Learn more about the great work going on in the community, and Nelson and Jean’s Legacy.
