United Way of Lancaster County is pleased to announce the availability of grant funding for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2015. This page provides information about applying for United Way “Collective Impact Grants,” which will support collaborative partnerships that help achieve specific community objectives in the areas of Education, Financial Stability, and Health.

United Way is committed to working closely with a broad range of partners to achieve lasting change, and to find and implement solutions that will positively impact lives today, and for the next several generations. Specifically, United Way is committed to:

  • Actively engaging and mobilizing individuals, corporations, and communities to give, advocate, and volunteer

  • Promoting and advancing collaborations and partnerships for long-term change in the UWLC focus areas

  • Investing money, expertise, and other resources in these innovative programs and strategies

  • Measuring, achieving, and communicating results and adapting to further strengthen and expand strategies

Build a Healthy and Resilient Community

Education

STRATEGY: Starting Ready. Staying on Track.

INVESTMENT FOCUS: Provide targeted academic and social/emotional interventions to students in need.

BOLD GOALS BY 2025:

  • 100% of our children will enter kindergarten ready to learn.

  • 100% of students and adults will have post-secondary credentials.

Financial Stability

STRATEGY: Earn It. Keep It. Save It.

INVESTMENT FOCUS: Empower individuals and families to improve financial stability through free tax preparation, financial education and management, and workforce development.

BOLD GOALS BY 2025:

  • Decrease individuals and families living in poverty by 50%.

Health

STRATEGY: Healthy People, Healthy Community.

INVESTMENT FOCUS: Promote healthy living and behaviors by maximizing enrollment in health insurance programs and providing access to medical, dental, and mental health care.

BOLD GOALS BY 2025:

  • 100% of individuals, children and families will have a physician, dentist and a mental health provider


COMMUNITY INDICATORS AND STRATEGY MAPS

COMMUNITY INDICATORS: United Way started gathering data from existing sources that can be monitored annually to assess progress toward reaching community goals in education, financial stability, and health.
