UNITED WAY LINC PUBLISHES TWO HELPFUL RESOURCES
Summer Camp Guide and Preschool Directory Available Now

Lancaster, PA (May 30, 2006) -United Way LINC is publishing two helpful resources to inform parents and child care providers of their many summertime and preschool program options.

The 2006 Summer Camp Guide includes numerous Lancaster County day and resident camps. The guide offers the camps’ costs and scholarship information. Listed facilities offer a variety of programs for children of all ages. The free Summer Camp Guide may be received in person at United Way LINC(630 Janet Avenue), by calling 291-LINC (5462) or by emailing linc@uwlanc.org.

The 2006 Preschool Directory lists nursery and preschool programs available throughout the county. Additionally, the directory provides location, contact person, age requirements, registration, tuition and scholarship information with each program description. Copies of the Preschool Directory can be purchased at United Way LINC, by calling 291-LINC or by emailing linc@uwlanc.org. There is a nominal cost of $3.00 per copy plus tax and any applicable shipping/handling charges. United Way member agencies will be provided with one free copy.

At the conclusion of Summer 2006, funded programs will be required to demonstrate that the youth participants learned life skills to enhance their ability to interact with the community and participated in activities to prevent destructive behavior in the future.
