MILLION DOLLAR ROUNDTABLE ($1 MILLION OR MORE)
United Way offers a unique opportunity for philanthropists who invest $1 million or more in bold change in Lancaster County. This very special group of philanthropists is part of a key leadership force across the globe. In addition to opportunities for international recognition, learning, and networking, Million Dollar Roundtable members inspire all of United Way of Lancaster County’s Leadership Givers. They are invited to all Leadership Giving programs and activities, featured in an annual Leadership Giving report and honorary hosts of our annual Leadership Giving Reception.
TOCQUEVILLE SOCIETY ($10,000 AND MORE)
The Tocqueville Society is a very special group of committed philanthropists around the world who invest at least $10,000 annually in their United Ways. We founded our Society in 1993 to afford leading, local contributors a vehicle to deepen their understanding of our community’s needs and connect with other philanthropists to make change happen in Lancaster County. Our 70 Tocqueville Society members invest nearly $1 million annually in our community. Tocqueville Society members enjoy year-round programs and activities. Members are featured in an annual Leadership Giving report and invited to United Way’s annual Leadership Giving Reception.
LEADERSHIP GIVERS ($1,000 - $9,999)
Leadership Givers are generous donors to United Way of Lancaster County who give between $1,000 and $9,999. They are recognized as Lancaster County’s philanthropic role models. When investors become Leadership Givers, they make a powerful statement about their desire to care for and strengthen our community. Leadership Givers are listed in an annual Leadership Giving report, are invited to United Way’s annual Leadership Giving Reception, and receive regular updates across the year about how their gifts are changing lives.
United Way of Lancaster County’s Women’s Leadership Council has raised more than $1 million since its founding over 10 years ago. Setting an example for the community and the next generation of women philanthropists, this group recognizes and encourages philanthropy and leadership by women who invest an additional $500 or more above their annual pledge. Members historically direct these investments to support impactful work that promotes women and children’s education, financial stability, and health. In addition to their philanthropy, Women’s Leadership Council members are offered a number of programs and activities throughout the year. Members are also listed in an annual Leadership Giving report and invited to United Way’s annual Leadership Giving Reception.
Emerging Leaders are individuals or households under 40 years of age who contribute $500 or more. Members are listed in an annual Leadership Giving report and invited to United Way’s annual Leadership Giving Reception.
Legacy Society members are an important group of individuals and couples who have included United Way of Lancaster County in their planned giving. These forward-thinking philanthropists pay forward some of their success by investing in a nonprofit organization that has stood the test of time and demonstrated its ability to remain relevant. A lifetime gift to United Way is an investment in making great change happen for decades to come. Legacy Society members are hosted at an annual reception. Members are also listed in an annual Leadership Giving report and invited to United Way’s annual Leadership Giving Reception.
